Did he paint it with his blood and that's why he was bleeding? If so, that's such an amazing detail.
You can just get a purple ticket by ignoring Pierrot in the beginning. Once you then get into the caffe and are about to end your shift, a weird guy with a hat enters. He then gives you the purple ticket. :)
